15. What Else Can I Do to Win the Support
I Want from Others Around Me?
Sometimes, if there is a lack of support to attend an IBI Global session, it comes from the other party thinking IBI Global is "another one of THOSE" programs they know won't work. This can be a frequent CEO theme from the teams involved in first time attendance...prior to arrival. No one wants to see the cost in time and funds turn out to be another seminar or workshop. Almost twenty years later IBI understands the issue.
Again, risk is always the issue.
Your activity might then become one of asking rather than telling. Ask "how could a leading business training hurt anyone in my position?"
Ask your "others" to give you neutrality if they can’t give you full support. Ask them what harm can come from meeting new mentors and coaches? Ask what harm can come from learning new Free Enterprise skills and methods. Inform them that your research has concluded that IBI Global enjoys a good reputation, has helped a great number of people, and offers an honest program with opportunities for a lifetime of support with only one tax-benefited investment. Let them know "execution" is always up to you... and YOU are the RISK... and you are asking for your life partner to allow you to take the risk on new plans and new contacts by obtaining on going support that is now lacking from outside experts.
We apologize to CEOs for larger organizations that do not require this perspective. We thank you for bringing your families and the trust this conveys. You will see so many other CEOs COOS and CFOs attending with their families you will be quick to see the value IBI is delivering.
